About the vehicle
I bought this truck intending it to be my tow vehicle for the race car (Project 1). Mind you I was not planning on long hauls but to places like Sacramento raceway (3.5hrs from home) Laguna Seca (45 minutes from home) Thunder Hill (4 hours) Bakersfield (4 hours). It was originally going to be a stock rod ls1 motor with a small N20 shot and the cam above and stock heads. Well, while looking for a N20 kit, I found a used direct port pilled for a 200 hit and everything changed. It is still going to be my tow vehicle, but hey, if the car breaks at the drag strip, I'll still have something to race.

This is the dummy block set in on a small block of metal with the direct port when I was planning on using C5 Z06 manifolds. No motor mounts yet.
Here is the dummy block with the home made motor mounts. There is a polly end in there..
Here is the new motor built and ready to go. I had the machine work done locally and put it together in a few nights.
Here are a few pics as of the other day with the engine bay cleaned up, pumps mounted, and fuel cell bracket almost done.
Engine bay
Fuel cell (going to reduce the angle of slope. It really isn't as bad as it looks, some of it is camera angle)
Fuel Pumps
Exhaust
I need to move this tube a little farther over.
