Question Scan Speak 29001 Flow Resistance "aperiodic"Vent?

Anybody actuall use these before on one of their subwoofer enclosures?

I don't believe an aperiodic vent will not have it's intended effect unless the vent is outside of the listening area, in this case, the box would have to vent outside of the car.

I've also heard that, but I've never heard it from some one that has actually tried it, that's what I'm really looking for.
