Default Anyone have trouble getting wire through the driver door grommet?

I can't for the love of god get the wire for my new stereo to get past the other wires that are there. I did the passenger side in a matter of 15 minutes, but I've been trying to do the driver door for a couple days now to no luck.

any tips?

Tape (electrical tape wraped tightly) it to the factory speaker wire inside the car, cut the factory wire then pull the factory wire through until your new wire comes through with it!

Its easy with a small bit of extra work. One of your problems is probably the gromet itself. There should be a rubber tab from the gromet electrical taped to the wire bundle, which packs it all in.

Just remove one gromet end from the door frame and the other end from the door. From there, you can un-tape the gromet for the wire bundle and then thread your new wire through. Once your new wire is set, reverse by re-taping the gromet to the wire pack and re-attaching to the frame and door.

electrical tape and wire hanger worked great for my doors, but electrical tape and speaker wire should work great too. I used the second method to get wires through the firewall grommet.

Tie the end of the wire into the loop of a closed ended wrench, and push that through - wire and all.

Wow, I was finally able to do it by opening the door grommet from the car side. What a pain in the *** that was. Anyways, that pretty much raps my system, thanks for all the help.
