Exclamation Right side speakers out???

My right side speakers are out on my 2000Z/28. Both rears are semi-blown, have been crackling for some time, but the front two have been replaced with some nice Alpines.

Left side plays normally, sounds fine(other than a little rear crackle on occassion).

What could be causing this problem? It seems unlikely both are blown at the same time...could it be the amp causing this issue? Would the rear completely failing cause the front to sound like crap as well?

Trying to fix this without dropping a ton of cash diagnosing or taking to a stereo place. I have always done my own stereo work and don't want to change that now, but I am at a loss to diagnose this problem.

Thanks in advance.

This problem had "corrected" itself for a while, but is back. Right side speakers basically out, only front door is barely audible with fade and balance adjusted for just it, sounds like a 1920's phonograph.

Stock H/U and amp. Front speakers are Alpines. Rest are stock.
