Default Putting a 97+ dash in a 96 Z

Will the wiring work or do i need to replace the whole body harness?

Pretty sure the 97s have a digial odometer... so i think a lot is different in the wiring and ECU, no? if you are including the cluster...

dig came out in 98, wireing is the same there both obdII

Officially it was available "2nd Half" of 97, but a lot of the earlier cars had it too...do a search in the conversion section, I'm pretty sure Ive seen something posted up over there of someone doing it...I think the manual odometer's are still electronically driven (class II data) within the cluster itself, so a signal wire to a later model cluster may work...I re-pinned my 97 V6 harness to match up with an LS1 in 2004 (wasn't alot of info about it back then) but off the top of my head, I don't think it would be to much of a hassle (cluster wise). Dig around in the Conversion Section there are some pin-outs floating around over there...

yea ive seen both mechanical and digital for 97, my 97 is digital
