If my receiver has bluetooth (ie for syncing my phone and playing my MP3s, making calls) and my laptop has bluetooth, can I do the same thing? Synch my laptop to my receiver so my movies audio come through my car's speakers, or even to skype?

not that i know of....unfortunately every product that has bluetooth in it is usually a different kind... like each is limited to different things.... most phones are limited to an "audio gateway" for instance... if it didnt specifically say it could do it for computers then chances are, it can't....

definitely give it a try though, you never know

If your computer has te capability of the a2dp profile. Which is a stereo gateway I would think that it would work. Just pair it up like you would a phone

That might work. I haven't done it but it makes sense that it would. I have a few units that sync up with iPhones and such so you can use your iPhones bluetooth output to play MP3's through the radio. That would be kind of cool!
