Default factory gm nav in camaro

i would like to put a factory gm touch screen nav in my 02 z28. i have done a lot of searching and found a person on this board in 2007 that tried this and everyone said radio has to talk w/ bcm so it wont work. i was wondering if anyone has had any luck w/ this? i really like the factory look, most aftermarket radios i have seen are too flashy looking. anyone? thanks

There are a lot of double din units out there that are plain-looking and will provide a OEM-look. You'll also have a lot more features than any OEM GM unit for a cheaper price. I would assume there would be a lot of wiring modification required to make it function properly, and even then, those units are vehicle specific and F-bodies lack a lot of those electrical systems available on the newest GM vehicles.

If you do try it, please keep us updated on how it works.
