Default How can I check to see if my factory amp is even being used?

When I bought my car a few years back, the previous owner had an aftermarket amp and sub installed, but took them out when he sold me the car. So for all I know, my two front and two trunk speakers and being powered solely by the head unit which is ALSO aftermarket. The other two speakers that are on either side of my passenger seats have been removed I suppose, because there are just empty holes behind the speaker grills.

How can I see if the amp being used at all, and it is in fact NOT being used, could I somehow get it to power two of my speakers of something so I can have more power per speaker?
