I was playing a cd that had a scratch and normally wouldn't play past track 14...this time the deck spit out the cd and I hear a faint motor buzz in the deck intermittently with an err message. Radio plays fine but err message still displays.

Any thoughts?

Even with no cd inside I press the am/fm buttons and the Err still flashes

Does it ask for a code to put it in? I know stock that theres a code for the anti theft you have to enter.

No code. The radio works perfectly fine it just keeps saying Err on the screen. I keep heating the cd motor going on/off every few seconds ibjudy hope it won't go it and kill my battery overnight.

Sounds like you may have to break down and buy a new radio.
