Default Reversed factory radio volume control?

I've never had this happen before, but suddenly the volume control on my factory cd radio reverses itself sometimes. Every once in awhile when I turn the volume up it lowers and when I lower it it goes up. Anyone have any ideas?

On my 99 SS, I felt like the radio was very touchy. Sometimes I would want to turn it up just a little bit, and I would turn the **** to turn it up, and it would turn it down a little bit, so then I would turn the **** more, but then it would get too loud and then I would have to turn it down. It didn't bother me too much since I didn't listen to the radio that often.

Common problem. Go to electronics store and buy tuner cleaner. Take off the **** and spray along the shaft etc. as best you can. Will fix it.

I'll give the tuner cleaner a try. Thanks for the input!

Works like a charm.

BTW - When you get a cleaner, make sure its safe for plastics. (Some aren't.)
