I've always used 200watts..but i noticed theres higher watt cd players.
what would you recommend. my set up is
1000watt sony xplod amp
2 12" 1200 sony xplod subwoofers, bridged
for now i have the stock mach460 cd player in my 04 cobra because its actually louder than all the 200watt pinoeer cd players i've installed.
found some 400 watt cd players. is that enough?

Watts /= volume. More power is entirely relative as to what your speakers need. Too much is bad, too little isn't good either.
A 400watt advertised head unit (cd player) is likely advertised as MAX POWER, not RMS. A 4 channel dedicated amp would be ideal for more power, but again that entirely depends on your speaker setup.
Please read this site a little. www.bcae1.com
More info than you'll ever need in car stereo.

If I'm not mistaken it won't make a difference. You have a Mach amplified system so the amps can only put out so much power. The output from the deck won't make your amps have more power.
