Default Stock Monsoon Volume Issues

occasionally my stereo volume dips then comes back, id say about 40% loss in volume during the dips that last a sec or two. the dips could happen as often as every 5 - 10 secs. its weird cause for a week it can be fine but then one day it will fade in and out the whole car trip (anywhere from 10 to 60 min rides). please help it drives me nuts. i havent had time to investigate just looking for a place to start, thanks!

do you have that volume control thing turned off? (under the volume ****) when your car gets louder and quieter it adjusts the volume if its on. other than that i have no idea.

djrowe007:
The Firebird doesn't have speed-sensitive volume.

WhiteHawk489:
Is this the stock headunit? Have you changed out any components? The culprit may be the volume ****.

I have had a few do it with the volume **** being the culprit. If I use the steering wheel controls the problem subsides.
