Engine GRD Strap or cable?
I got my nice beefy grd strap in the mail a few days ago and I would like to use it instead of a regular power cable. Because with using 1/0 cable I'm using now the cable cover becomes discolored and misshaped over time and the copper cable eventually loses it flexibility and becomes very stiff in the first 3-4" from the end bolted to the block. It still does it even with a heat sleeve over it, and with the heat sleeve on it, it's bulky, so replacing it with the grd strap will give more clearance around the alternator. So anyway do you think this grd strap will be as effective as my current use of 1/0 gauge cable?
BTW, the strap is 13"L x 1"W x 1/16"D and stainless steel.
Here's the GRD strap next to a 1/0 cable and 4 gauge cable for a comparison.
