Default Need sub help

Car is a 97 z28 that sat for about a year and a half during the build. I already had CD player amp and 2 12" subs that we're working fine. Now whenever I hook my remote wire up the subs just vibrate tremendously as soon as the amp gets power. I swapped head units thinking it could be in that but same result as the first one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like bad RCA's or RCA jacks.Maybe a wire touching them.Try taping all your RCA's connections up.

my guess would be a dead short between the power cable and speaker leads, either internal to the amp or wire shorting out on the connections. likely internal due to the fact it only happens when you connect the remote wire.
