Default Odometer not functioning

I have a small problem I'm hoping doesn't turn into a big headache. I've had my car apart, engine, transmission, pcm, engine wire harness, and body harness have all been out of the car for several months. I also stripped a bunch of unnecessary wiring from the car since I deleted, the p/s, p/b, hvac, cruise control. I also removed the wiring from the cluster for the tach, water temp, oil pressure, and volt gauges, but didn't mess with the speedo, gas gauge or odometer wires. The LED back light still works it's just the numbers are not displaying. Anyone who has had a 98-02 f-body apart for 6 months or more ever notice the odometer and trip numbers do not show up right away until they started driving the car?

The tach wiring should have been kept. I think it needs that to calculate mileage.
