Sound Deadening, how thick and what works best?
I've researched this a little today and found people using everything from the most expensive dynamat to frost king duct insulation. My only goal is to get rid of the road noise cause by my new rod ended suspension components. I don't care about audio quality, just making the car reasonably quiet inside again.
I found this description on mcmaster carr describing the differences between
Absorbers, Barriers, Dampers, and Absorber/Barrier combinations.
It seems the best product would be an absorber/barrier then second would be a straight absorber. The only problem is the products that would be the best are an Inch Thick, not thin like the dynomat stuff. Has anyone effectively gotten rid of tire noise/suspension noise with any type of sound deadener?
