Question heater problem

alright here's the deal my 99 t/a has hot air comming from the feet area and i can't stop it. even if i have the heat turned all the way off it is still comming out. i even turn it all the way to cold and the heat still comes out. it's like one of the flaps isn't working, has anybody ever had this problem or knows how to fix it. it's funny because my G/F's jimmy is having the exact same problem.

If the flapper is not responding to the position switch selections, chances are the vacuum supply to the switch or the switch itself may be faulty. Check the vacuum line in the engine bay for damage first. It passes thru the passenger side firewall and follow it back to the intake manifold. Some air passing thru the floor vents is normal, but it should be consistent with the position of the temp select switch.
