I put the JL6's in my ta. they fit fine, but the stock system didn't give them enough power so I put a 250w 2ch. amp and they hit HARD! Spent $200 total for parts, and I even made a nice amp rack too.

when you exchange your speakers, what are just the requirements?
6.5 inches
4 ohm?
low rms?
what i want to do is install new speakers, 1 10" sub and amp, with the stock head unit. Could i power the speakers and sub with 1 amp? would that sound good?
Sorry, im a newb

Yes I think you could (in theory). I don't know enough to tell you if there's an Amp out there that has enough power or channels to do it, though.
I followed RougeLeader's sticky up top and my system sounds amazing powered by the Monsoon set-up. Well, as amazing as the price it came it . I know a high-end system would sound much better but this mod really surprised me.
Tomorrow I am gonna try and get the HU wired up and everything buttoned down and all... We'll see what it sounds like with more power to it
Here's what I'm doing so you can reference...
