Default NBS silverado...voltage drain

i have heard grounds in these trucks suck anyways, but i am having major voltage drain running only 2 competition 10" subs with a 700 watt amp. just wanted to get some opinions on what to do to help reduce/eliminate this prob. i am already running a red top, but nothing else (i.e. high amp alt., bigger ground wire, batcap, or capacitor).

Have the alterantor checked, it might be on its way out. To eliminate it, just upgrade the alternator.

I would also research the big 3 (running lower gauge wire between the battery and alternator, battery and chassis ground, and alternator/engine to chassis ground. I did that and am getting a constant 15.+ and 14.+ under complet load. This is in a 2002 TA. Make sure you scrape to bare metal for all grounds.
