Default Corvette: Right Front Speaker Dead

Hi Folks,

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot a dead speaker? I checked/cleaned the wiring connections in the tube that connects the door to the body. I'm not sure what to try next. Thanks for your help.

Take out both front speakers and switch em around. If the dead one plays on the live side then your problem is in the wiring/radio connection.

Good idea. I just dread pulling the door panels off.

It's not that bad (maybe it is, never took panels off a Vette before)... just get one of those clamp popping tools from the store and it'll make life easier for you, not to mention save you a few $'s from breaking those damn things.
