Default How do I get the stock Hu out?

I know there are two connectors on the back of my headunit. One is for the Cd changer and one is for the speakers and all. My question is this:

How the hell do I get the black wire disconnected from the driver's side of the radio? I tried to follow the wire into the dash and my hand hit what feels like wire loom. It's a single black wire and it doesn't seem to have any connections in it's line.

I tried to do a search but came up with nothing.

maybe its me but I totally dont recall having a black wire come out the drivers side of the unit. Just the two harnesses (which you mentioned) and the black antenna wire that just pulls staight out, but thats on the passenger's side.

Is it a 1/4" thick black cable?

If so, its the antenna wire.
Its jammed in there but it pulls out.

Wow...I feel really dumb. Well, on a side note, it took a good bit of pulling to get it out. I just didn't want to go and start yanking on something with the electrical and f it up. It was the antenna wire. Thanks for the help.

On a side note, I don't have to rewire everything since I'm replacing the monsoon headunit do I? I'm just putting in a Pioneer 860MP in place of the stocker.

Thanks for the help guys.

Get yourself a harness adapter (they come with the Metra mounting kits) so that you can connect the aftermarket HU without cutting into the factory harness. Attach the harness adapter to the HU wiring and then it will just plug in to the factory harness.
