Default Some Speakers Not Working - Wiring Maybe?

Since I've bought my car NONE of the speakers on the right side have been working. I recently replaced the front and rear speakers with some nice Pioneer's and I also have a new Kenwood MP3/DVD Headunit, but even after replacing the speakers nothing on the right side works, they just put out some really weird bass and no music. I was wondering if this is a wiring issue or if anyone had any advice? I would like to figure it out before I drop the money to have a professional take a look, the last guy seemed to have a pretty large system considering the wiring that's in the car, I figured it might have something to do with him cutting wires? Any advice would be greatly appreciated .
