In my experience (and others) it is always cheaper to buy the good unit first then it is to buy the same thing over a second time.
Just say nooooooo to jensen.
Your on the right track by going with pioneer or alpine..etc...

This is probably a dumb question, but can you still have your 12 disc CD changer hooked up to these types of units...I swear I didn't see where it would go on the Jensen in question?

Jensen used to be a great company back in the day. At least from what I understand. It's kinda funny, a while back they were using their stuff on Pimp My Ride, trying to bring them back or something. Anyhow, I don't doubt that the deck isn't a bad unit, but there are other name brands out there that are only slightly more expensive. Coulde be worth it to you.
Here's a list of Pioneer's

Surf that site, they have excellent prices.

i just like the onscreen ipod feature, i would buy a more expensive alpine or pioneer or whatever brand to get better quality...but Jensen makes the only one with a touchscreen picture of and ipod that display's the same thing as your ipod does...and I want that!!!

an easy way to get rid of the "flipping through millions of songs" problem, arrange those songs in a folder, before you write them. them you can flip through each "album" makes life much easier. i have zero problems with mine. i live in the desert. leave the tops off most of the time, and have had no problems with "brake sequence." and for WIW. i also have the new jensen amps. which i also like. and they're pushing jl speakers all around.
like i said before, just make sure you get a "flush" mounting kit.
and you don't have to break the seal. put the radio in the mount. connect the wires with the harness not on the radio, then, hook up the harness, and bolt the damn thing in.

This will work for camaros, but will not work for most other cars like VW's, SOME fords, and toyotas where you cannot use the cage most of the time.

I mounted the 9511ts, i think that would be better for money, it came with a bigger amp + ipod adaptor and so on... sound is actually good, screen is amaizing, i could not believe Jensen made such a high end product.... be aware when the display is closed, a very strong blue light comes from the stereo, no dimmer!
Overall good player..

i used to work at best buy and we never had any jensen unit's come back. we would install them atleast once a week. my friend has had more problems with his $1200 fosgate dvd unit.
