Dynavox?
Has anyone ever heard of Dynavox mot to be confused with Dynaudio.
I was looking at some 6.5" Dynavox mids for 70 a piece and they can handle 140 watts RMS/200 watts max with a Voice coil diameter of 3"!!!
Any opinions?

Those are very nice looking midbass, however, they are 8ohm speakers. Most 8ohm speakers are designed for home audio applications not car audio. Most car audio applications are 4ohm and 2ohm. If that speaker comes in a 4ohm application I'd say go for it as everything else looks pretty impressive. Just looking it up I did notice that it wasn't listed in the car audio portion of their web site.

Basically it all depends on the voice coil. Even if it is a knock off. There are not alot of companies these days who produce there own stuff anymore. It's gotten too expensive. So to increase profit margins they share alot now. I know of about three companies or more who use all the same basket and magnets as each other but have different voice coils and such. Those might sound fine...no way of telling except to buy them and try them out. I also can get some pretty decent midbass as well. PM me if you are interested.
