Default Wiring fuel gauge?

I am wiring in all autometer gauges and don't know if I need to replace the sending unit or not. I no longer have a stock PCM as I have BS3 and it is running as a stand alone. I have the Cobalt fuel level 240 ohms to 33 ohms gauge. Any help would be great as I like to know how much fuel I have in the car
