Quick question Alpine 9884/ Polk GXR-6
Ok here is my situation,
My car is a 2002 Z28 Convertible with the Monsoon system. I am going to replace the H/U with a Alpine 9884 and I have a pair of Polk audio GXR-6 speakers that I would like to used to replace the blown door speakers.
Can I use the Stock monsoon amp to power the speakers?
If so would I have to run the tweeters off the H/U and mid off the amp?
I am confused as to the wiring involved as I am not really a stereo guy I would have left the system stock if it wasn't for the door speakers being blown and I got the H/U and speakers in trade.
Here is the specs for the speakers.
Mid/Woofer 6-1/2" Diameter (16.51cm) Duralam composite cone
Tweeter 1/2" Diameter (1.27cm) high efficiency tweeter
Overall Frequency Response 70Hz-21kHz
Nominal Impedance 4 ohms
Power Handling (continuous) 50 Watts
Power Handling (peak) 125 Watts
Efficiency 92 dB
Voice Coil Diameter: Tweeter 1/2" (1.27cm)
