1150pm. Coming off the military base at 30mph a cop pulls in beside me (****.) Light hits green, I take my left turn puddlin along making sure to abide by Johnny law's 50mph rule. Out of my left hand mirror i see a pair of headlights take the turn almost too quick and immediatly accelerate right up beside the cop. At this point im thinking this guy is toast. Not so, the FD accelerates past the patrol car and jumps on my ***. He's definatly down to race.

We just have to lose the law dog. About half mile down about a 2 mile straight away the cop takes a left hand turn. GAME ON. I pull past an old Caddy on 22's and jump in front of him and brake to 50mph (perfect 2nd gear roll) Gangsta caddys about to get a show. The FD down shifts and pulls beside me, I give him a couple seconds to get situated and start the honk. 3,2,1 I give him the hit to make sure he's up for it, he floors it and pulls up a fender, I mash the gas and keep my ground, He has to shift as I wind second gear out to 6700rpms, slam 3rd and gain my fender and start pulling hard. On through 4th I keep walking. Curve + cars coming fast, I end the race right at 100mph and 1-2 cars ahead. Grinning I let him pull up and tell my passenger to throw him a thumbs up. Nothing returned.

Catch him at a red light, try to goose him and i suppose he's had enough. Good race, quick car.

FYI i didnt realize he was boosted till he pulled along side at the redlight and heard his BOV.

For yall that dont like to read, I raced a Turbo rx7 fd from 50-100 mph (2nd-4th) for me and won by 1-2 car lengths.

I had an encounter with one of those a while back when I was just muffler & lid, he got me pretty good. He had a huge tiurbo on that thing and was running really high boost. I am glad to hear you edged him out.

Ya, after hearing the BOV I was actually suprized. Made me smile. Tonight, Im a winner. Then agian, I'm knocking of 400 hp/tq's door.

I figured someone would say this. I believe you are right, but before I could look it up I got drunk. and p*ss became a priority over looking up FD.

Thanks for all the compliments, and for the record, if only I could have a FD.....id do the ls1/FD swap in a heartbeat.

You sir, are absolutely correct. They all came TT from factory @13 lbs. Most guys switch out for a bigger single turbo setup.

good kill, was it a red rx7? thats one thing i miss about va is 564, even after the huge bust there where some good runs going on. are you part of the hrfbody crowd up there?
