01 ss vs 2010 cobalt ss

Default 01 ss vs 2010 cobalt ss

ran my buddies 01ss (m6) vs my turbo daily driver cobalt.

we went from a 40 roll, i spun really bad in 2nd but put 1/2 a car on him all the way up to about 125.

his car dynoed about 325 with a lid and catback

Ya I rode in one, but it definitely didn't feel like ls1 territory.

catted downpipe, hotside intercooler pipe and a tune.....put down 311 hp on the same dyno as the camaro the same day

It's not stock, more like LT1 territory. I'd love to see a stock LT1 v SS/TC. Intake/exhaust/tune an SS/TC shouldn't have a problem with a stock LS1.

That'll do it, 14 less hp but plenty less weight ftw.

You're right, "stupid slow" is the proper category, especially those black ones.

There is a certain individual on this board that I hung with a modded B4C Z28 till 135 mph on the freeway. It was fun and I was even suprised. Im just more upset that people want to say they hate that GM put an SS badge on the Cobalt and HHR. Until they get beat by one in their V8.

Great run man and digs on these cars will suck though but roll is great.
