I was born and raised in NJ...It WAS a great place to grow up. I moved out 2 years ago though. The Jersey you see today is a totally different place. It is very expensive to live there. The taxes are RIDICULOUS! I think NJ ranked highest in the nation for two years straight. Besides this..than you have the traffic! I used to work 16 miles form where I lived. Each morning I would sit on the GSP for 1 to 1.5 hours to get to work... just could not live there anymore.

Best thing I ever did! NC is beautifull.
By the way..I moved here to get away from the Yankees. I did not move to the big Yankee towns..Moved to the farm area. All my life I lived around concrete, tar and buildings...now it is trees, grass and fresh air! Why did I wait

Thats a damn good idea. Never tried that. My method is to just get out of the car at a red light. Never really plan on doing anything. But the look on their face when they think your going to beat their *** is awesome. Then you casually walk to the trunk and pull out a paper towel and wipe off your side mirror. HAHA!

Sorry to say..I can't argue with you on that. It is sad though because I had a good childhood there. Each year it just seemed to get more and more run down, crowded, and expensive. I really think all the boroughs of NY got so over-populated, that many moved into NJ.
