My friend's mom has a 2011 V6 with just an axleback, runs pretty damn good. We ran it against an LT1 with just a catback, damn good race from a dig. Never did any rolls. Whoever didn't have the passenger won.

We've talked about this before with my friends car. It'd be a really cool daily to have...but since it's a Mustang and the 5.0 isn't much more, you'd be hard pressed to buy that and then start spending mod money to get to stock 5.0 territory. It is cool though, my friend is going to take his mom's car to the track and see what he can do once ours opens back up in spring.
Stock record as far as I know is like 13.7 @ 102 or so, can't find the video of it. This one ain't too shabby either...

wssick those runs were right in the ballpark of what I was thinking would happen. Forgot about those videos! Guess we will be seeing how it does against a S2000 in a couple hours...
Hey man, nice talking to you. even if we cant find anyplace but the freeway to run (advantage S2000) it's all good. And like I said, beers are on me! Anyone else want in tonight? Love to buy a few pitchers for a tech crowd.
Unfortunately I don't have a camera. and my cell phone.... not worth even trying with that POS. Hopefully BBAP2 has a camera or good cell phone.

shoot man, I'm the one "handicapped" in this. I weigh 350lbs and look like a circus gorilla riding a tricycle when I bend in half and squeeze into the stang. That lack of interior room is by far the biggest reason I would never buy one. The SRT8 body style is probably gonna be my next purchase if I don't get a C6 Z06 (fit better in a vette, go figure- just gotta relocate the pedals to accommodate my size 16 shoes).

Too late for a long post, so here it is, both cars basically stock S2000 with a catback and 6spd, mustang a 2012 rental V6 auto:
S2000 2
Mustang 0
Did a bunch of short pulls and aborted runs (mostly my fault, trying to get the hang of the shifter on the 'stang). From a dig, the mustang keeps side by side to 35-40mph where the honda starts it's walk. 70mph it has a solid car+, 110 it has around two cars.
Freeway roll's varied from 40-60mph starts. Took me a bit to get the hang of holding gears and such manually. not nearly as simple as it sounds. Basically like the dig race, but he averaged about 2 cars on my by 90mph, another car or two by the speed limiter around 115mph. Damn V6 smacks that speed limiter hard!
'stang did a bit worse than I thought it would, but a very honorable loss non the less.

Oh yeah, BBAP also beat a C5 Z06 with me spectating. driver was a complete moron, short shifting his vette around 5200-5500rpm yet as far as I could tell he was WOT and shifting quick. Started with BBAP lined up next to him at a stop light, both guys checking each other out. The vette chirped his tires on the green but BBAP sandbagged the launch and instead waited until top 1/3rd of his 1st gear before he went WOT. He even went wot, then let up for a second to give the vette a split second to go WOT (which the vette guy did). Honda won by a fender at around 80-90mph when the vette had to let up for traffic.
Guy was just scared of his power is what we surmised when talking about it a few minutes later in a parking lot. Win's a win though! lmao

Trace, I know you egged some poor soul into racing the renta-racer commuting to and from work in the last couple of days. When you used the goat as a daily driver you ran 100K+ "confidence builders" all the time on I5 or I405. So Cal has way more idiots with money and no car genes than Seattle.
