Ok, I have a 02 z28 with bmr lca's, phb, PC lt's, ory, 3" cutout, magnaflow CB, 4:10 or 4:11 gears, maybe a shift kit, lid and free mods minus the p&p tb. And my buddy has a 89 fox body with a cammed 408 and its convertible thats all I know. Not sure what his tranny is if he has gears or anything like that. I know it has no spray or forced induction of any kind cause he wouldnt be able to afford it. What do you think the out come would be if I run him this weekend? I work all week so it wouldnt happen till either fri or sat.

If his 89 fox body only has a cam you should win easy.

What heads does he have on it? If it's a 408 he must have a 351w stroked to 408. If he has a good built and tires he is going to put busses on
you.

hard to know without more facts...my buddy has a coupe with a 408 that runs 9's. i've also seen 408's that run like ****. he's a friend so, run him and have fun...

No where near enough info here. A friend of mine has a similar set up to and I get him pretty good and I only have 351 cubic inches. I have a decent set of heads and what not tho. He could runs 10's or 14's. Im sure if he went through the trouble to stroke a windosr and at least cam it, he has gears. I would watch out with that one.

Kinda hard to say that you will put "bus's" on him when all you know is that it's a Fox vert with a 408

Buddies fox has a 408 and runs low 11's and pulled a Gen 3 stock Viper. His engine is also built for spray even though he hasnt sprayed it yet. Another one running similair set up has him ran mid 12's at the track. It is all what else is done to the car as far as gears/weight/heads.cam etc etc.

ok a s/c 5.0 is not even close to a nice built 408, but like others have said a good running 408 op is in trouble , but with the lack of info on the mustang i couldnt even tell ya who would win, you just never know what your going to get with a fox body, 50/50 it will be a 14 second car or a 9 second rocket lol

Ok sorry for the thread he was just talking out his *** I guess. It only has a 302, he said it was a cammed 408 thinking I would back off but when I called him on it and said we should run them he was quick to say it wasn't anything and has only a 302. So sorry how do I delete this and if we race ill just post up a new thread
