98 m6 z28 vs 01 m5 cobra vs 2000 z28 auto
so my buddy and i were on the way back to my place from eating dinner.
(me in the 98 z and him in the 2000 z. my mods are in my sig, his mods are only catback)
while going down "some road in mexico" we run up on a 01 cobra, full exhaust, 3:73's, stage 3 clutch and a tune.
we all had 1 passenger
he floors it as we get about a car behind him, so we know its on.
i flash my brights signaling him to slow down and get up beside me.
i ran him first from a 60 roll. (if i wind out any gear my clutch sticks to the floor and wont let me shift. so i have to stay in whatever gear i punch it in.)
he honked off, we both hit at the same time.
by the time i hit 6k in 3rd i had a car on him.
after that my buddy got next to him.
same roll, cobra honked off again.
from about 60-110 my buddy had him by a car and a half.
then i raced my buddy.
same 3rd gear roll.
i honked off.
by the time i hit 6k again i had maybe 1/2 a car on him.
after that we all pulled into a closed down gas station and bs'd for about an hour.
he couldnt believe we beat him lol.
he was a cool guy, we exchanged numbers and he complimented both our cars.
not many mustang guys like that lol

I don't know about that. LT's are a pretty big gain on those 4 valve cars. That car assuming its tuned should be 315-320 whp and is more than likely lighter than the camaro.

i also forgot to mention my car has 180k miles on it and when i ran him it wasnt quite running right.
since then ive done a full tune up, and a little cleaning.
i raced my buddy in his straight piped lt1 that would ate that cobra for lunch.
i slowly pulled on him.
from a 55-125 roll i had him by a car and a 1/4.
(some how i managed to hit 4th. i was like YES!!!!) xD
that straight piped lt1 is pretty nasty.
it suprised the hell outta me when i drove it.
very very powerful and responsive.
