2013 Viper, 2008 Shelby, 2006 Z06, 2000 A&A C5 Friendly kills
Well it was a beautiful day for a drive in Mexico. Some friends and I took a nice trip down there and got in some good runs.
Cars:
My 01 P1SC Procharged Z06 606/531
2013 Viper stock (558/531 estimate from Road and Track)
08 Shelby GT500 (580/520)
06 Z06 (stock with catback)
00 C5 M6 A&A Vortech SC 577/510
(All had 1 passenger and were manual transmissions)
Most runs were 60-140 some were 40-140
Recap:
Got them all!
The viper run was more of a fun run where he hit it then I hit it. Those new vipers have some serious TQ and long gears (im still running mn12 ratio in my Z) He hits it around 60 and jumps hard then i hit it. 3rd gear is close and the my extra hp takes over in 4th and im able to walk. Such a fun run none the less. Don't really get a chance to run one of those often at all.
I wonder how much I would benefit with a C6Z06 or ZR1 trans ratio
The C6Z will put up a good fight as well for a gear or so with me and then the extra HP I make takes over. Super impressive car for almost bone stock.
The shelby just has too much of a weight disadvantage for it's current power level but always a fun run and the owner is always eager for next mod.
My friends 2000 A&A C5 is always another good run just down a bit in power with maybe a bit more weight etc.
Viper pulled the C6Z. The A&A C5 misssed a shift and the viper got him (sadly didnt have a chance for rematch) The A&A C5 also pulled the C6Z and Shelby.
01 Z took top spot for the day
00 A&A C5 and 13 Viper could be possibly considered a tie considering I put about the same distance on both by 140 but honestly think the 2000 would just nose him out. Stock 13 Viper aint no joke...
C6Z was next and Shelby was bringing up the bottom.
Not a bad group when a 580rwhp Shelby is the "bottom of the pack"
Great guys and friendly runs. The muscle car and HP wars are alive and well!

GT4urass, have you ever heard one in person? I used to think the same thing about the sound until I did. They have a borderline exotic sound to them, for some reason they sound 10x better in person than in a video/on TV.

I have indeed. They sound decent in the upper RPM, but it's that flat, nappy tone they have at idle and lower RPM at wears me out. Then again, I like how LS1's sound, so obviously my opinion sucks lol.

I wish I was, lol. Even the GM faithful on here disagree. I like them with cut outs, flowmasters, and my bud's SLP dual-dual was my favorite. Very clean, smooth sound. But, you know what they say...opinions are like ********!
