When I ran a 20 shot on my 408 years ago the only one those I didn't use was the progressive controller, I don't think it is completely necessary to be safe. I did run a stand alone fuel system with 116 octane in it for it.

That's pretty safe for a 20 shot.

Window switch is good to go if you don't wanna spend the cash on a progressive.

But ya, window switch can run a 200 shot with no issues if the operator ain't a dumbass.
