now he says i wont be able to pull a 1.7 60ft. at the strip when the previous owner said that he ran 1.6's in it with the same tires i have on there now. so he said if i get a 1.7 hell pay me 100 bux so sounds like some easy money

I GOT ******* BEAT WTF happened. i know my tires would bald but what happened he got traction right away and by time i got traction all i could get to was the back of his door and i shut off cuz i was already goin 110. if i got traction i think i could of got him cuz once i got traction i caught him in no time. but now he wont race me again cuz all he wanted to do was win once then start talking ****. what else could of went wrong, could i really get beat by just not getting traction

please give me some tips

Here's something that will make you feel better.

In july I went home to IL on vacation from the airforce in NJ. The first night I was in town I was followed by a MBM camaro that I thought was a friend of mine. I pulled over thinking it was a friend, but it turned out to be 2 guys driving around in MBM Z28(LS1). They asked if I wanted to run, I said yes...obviously. We go out to a deserted 2 lane and go from a dig. I spun, but he caught traction instantly. He had 3 cars on me when he shut down at 130. I turned around and said let's go again. We did and I left softer, but again he had traction and put 3 cars on me. I ended up stretching the race in the tripple digits to beat him by 2 cars. We pulled over after that and he said he ran 13.3s to my I was was running 11.9s. We talked and went our separate ways. Then I hear 3 days later he's telling EVERYONE I'm slow and I don't have anything for him. He conveniently only told people about the first race he won. He mistakenly told this to a friend of mine who told me. I told my friend...."You tell that jackass to be up town wednesday for a rematch!" Wednesday rolls around and I slap on the slicks/skinnies. The look on his face when he saw me in the parking lot was F'n priceless. He tried to back out, but I insisted. We went out to the very desolate 2 lane we always use. He does his burnout, then I do mine. I really didn't need to since I had the Hoosier quick time pros on LOL MWUAHAHAHAHA.......anyways. We line up, my friend flags us, and that's where the race ended. We have a 1/4 marked off and I blew his doors off out of the hole and put 6 cars on him by the time we finished. We turned around and I asked him if he wanted to go again, but he said no LOL.

Just get some tires man, trust me.

yeah hes a friend of mine i work with and it went from it was a good race til he gets his friends on the phone and he suddenly beat me by 1 and half car lengths. so im ordering nitto DR and im taping it next time so he cant deny it. and at the track last week the best he ran was 13.2. and im taking mine for the first time ive since i bought it april 9 so ill tell you all if i kick his *** and what i do there, forgot to mention i tried to eaze into the throttle so i wouldnt spin but then he hooked and started pulling away so i just tried to catch him and thats wheni really broke lose

Case in point. This Cobra I've been racing lately came on street tires the first time and I was on 50% Nitto's, he lost by 6 cars in the 1/4. The next week he came with fresh Nitto's and mine were disappearing quick, I mean they had gotten hard. Needless to say he beat me twice by two cars. Yep, tires can make a helluva difference.
