Default Westheimer Saturday Night

Anyone run down Westheimer Saturday night? I was there with a couple friends in a '96 Impala SS. We were caught in a few races with the Chevy crowd. First one was between us, a lowered CK1500, a modded up SS Camaro, and a modded C5. We were behind everyone watching when the C5 and SS took off, just then my damn camera stopped working. We ran with them for a little while and they kept picking on us, the SS more than the C5. They always raced right in our dead spot around 40 mph, that Camaro whooped us. Then we went against the C5 and actually stayed even for a whole second Just once did we get it on from our sweet spot (25 mph) and they didn't even come after us. We circled back and started getting picked on by a Maxima. I new they could be modded up to be pretty quick but damn. He walked us pretty easily. Said he had intake, computer, downpipe, polished heads, and a 100 shot. We were getting pretty close to Westoaks mall so we turn around, after cruising around guess who shows back up, the chevy guys. So they maul us again and turn down some street. We then got revs thrown at us by two Hondas, took them like nothing. Caught up with what I believe was a Probe and beat him after he challenged us. Before we turned around an old Cobra with at least exhaust done and some huge cowl hood wanted some. We took off from a stop light and actually walked right past him! That made my night. Turned around past the beltway and made our last pass before heading home. The Probe guy had followed us and told us to follow him to RSI (where the hell is that) to race. Well this guy was talking on a radio, pretty clean cut, and wanted us to race him in a place he specified. We didn't want any of that, so we made up an excuse and went back home. We caught a huge accident on Hwy. 6 and 529, and earlier that night there was some monster of an accident down West road past Hwy. 6. Also, anyone listening to the scanners? I heard something about a shootout on the beltway.

Bottom line: Sweet vid of Cobra kill, probe kill, civic kill, toying with a vette and a SS, and a little vid from an A4 bird.

Also I was wondering if anyone knew who that SS driver was, he didn't look like he would be on computers too much. Sounded like he had flowmasters, M6, black. He was hispanic too.

I believe I've seen this guy before and he looks, and lives in a pretty hard area. Besides he looked too old and buff for computers.
