turbo ls1 vs turbo civic
Civic is a GSR motor t3/t4 on pump gas. this was a good race. http://www.maxpowertuning.com/TurboCamaroVSCivic.wmv
***EDIT spoke to the owner of the civic***
"Car is a full interior spare jack ac equipped 94 VX built bottom end stock head with valvetrain custom kit log mani tial wg hks bov. Nothing too crazy about it.
Running 18 psi on a conservative tune"

If an LS1 loses in a video, somebody always says, "The Camaro wasn't trying! I couldn't hear the engine! I think I heard the T/A mis-shift! etc."
How many times when our LS1's smoke some imports don't we criticize these same excuses as used by them instead?
An LS1, at WOT, running correctly, driven skillfully, illuminated by heavenly rays of light.... Can LOSE, too.
That Camaro's badass! It would smoke my car; that's for sure!
But the Camaro got smoked by a faster car... badly

Either way, those were pretty badass cars IMO.

I believe I read somebody post that the Camaro coudn't be heard. Better to jump the gun than to read 25 pages of superiority complexes. I also agree, the cars are badass. But if I had the pleasure of owning that Camaro, it would definitely have a different exhaust set-up.

It means that they couldn't HEAR the camaro. Which is odd because the guy had like 500 exhaust tips pointing out the *** end of the car.

It's more to it just than power to weight ratio. Design of the cylinder head, compression ratio, gearing, and the ability to rev to 8500+.
Heres an example:
(3 ft/lb of torque @ 2 RPM) / 5252 = .0011424 HP
(1 ft/lb of torque @ 8 RPM) /5252 = .0015232 hp
Which one is bigger.
