First kill in my LS1
Me and my g/f was going to a local street racing spot on sunday. Soon as I arrived a guy and his buddy in a LT1 camaro asks to race. I turned to my g/f and she said yes. I was 100% stock down to the lid at the time. So race 1 from a dig LT1 m6 mods exhaust the rest unknown. So we line up I honk 3 time he is 1 1/2 car ahead in first, second still 1 car **** can't catch up...90mph damn 1 lose for me. Crap I hate loosing, racing again the opposite way he honks 3 time I jumped 2 car ahead 0-110 got him by about 4 cars YEA. He pulls on side of me asked to go again so I do. He honks 3 time I jumped 2 car again my g/f is in my ear "go baby go yea", he can't catch up. 2 for me 1 for him. While i'm turn around he is waiting for me again wanting to go again I said no you got lucky the first time and you won't beat me any more. And at that time i'm smelling brunt clutch so I called it quits. That was my first race in my LS1.

oh my bad haha ya the lt1s havs some great low end power, but in a drag race the high end power ls1 usually wins over even medium modded lt1s. good kill, sounds like the other guy new what he was doing.

First, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I am;
LT1's don't have more power down low. They just get to the peak TQ before the LS1. How-ever the LS1 still has higher TQ number all the way through the powerband. This I witnessed a few times on a dynojet. It just feels like it has more power down low.
