Talking beat a pewter c5

cruisin on the chesapeake xpressway coming back from nags head and came to a stoplight and see a c5, don' know what year he had the y2k's on it so it had to be at least a 2000. older guy and his wife drivin it, i had my wife w/ me also. took off a little harder than usual just to let him know i was willing he didnt do anything. so we pull up to another stoplight and i took off like normal and he stomps on it, he got half a carlength maybe more then i pulled him about 2 cars up to about 90. i slowed and he passed by, threw each other waves and went on our ways. it felt good, first street race of the year. it was pre lt's so not bad for my car.

Having owned a C5, and looking at your mods in your sig, I would say that is about right if he was an average driver.
I am hoping to have a meeting with a C5 in the SS myself. \
Good story.

What??!! I wouldn`t try that again with just those mods. Though with your current mods you should be able to take them, the C5`s are clearly quicker than the f-bodies. Atleast mine was.

Do you know if he was an auto or a stick?
By the by, the SS is much more fun than the C5.

i believe he was an auto. i haven't driven a c5 yet there is a silver 2001 z06 for sale at the dealership near my house, i wonder if they would let me test drive it. i bet the camaro's feel more like muscle cars than the vettes.

Yeah, kinda. It`s weird. The C5 actually felt big compared to the f-body, which I found strange. I also felt like I should be 50 (I`m only 30). One thing I noticed is that when in traffic, people like to cut-off Corvettes. It`s weird. People were really hostile to me when I was in that car.
