99 Trans AM vs 95 Eclipse GS-T
Well just got my new car and a buddy of mine wanted to run from a 45 roll so I agreed. I figured I would roll him bad but I didn't really. He has a 1995 Eclipse GS-T (FWD) his mod's from my knowledge he put a 14b turbo set at 18 psi that has been ported to hell, 100 wet shot, full exhaust, intercooler piping, intake, bov, fuel pump, and thats about it. MY T/A ported stock heads/ tr 230 cam, built motor, 4.10s, lid, etc, etc dynoed 394/370. We start from a 45 roll cause thats where he wanted to go from. I put it 2nd and I honk 3 times well he is cheap and goes on the 2nd honk... lol But I smash it and pull up on him and his front bumper is at my door through 2nd. I nail 3rd pull about half a car instantly and slowly start inching on him. He is at my back bumper by now. By now I'm like he is hanging with a 400 rwhp T/A I can't believe this... Then boom I hit 4th gear and I light his world up then. I pulled like 3/4 cars as soon as I got into it while in 4th gear. I shut down with several cars on him.

Damn, both cars sound fast but that is shocking for an Eclipse. I know almost nothing about them but he must be serious about his car to get it to run like that. Good kill.

back in the mid-late 90s, when the LT1 was new and the mustang had nothing to speak of, DSMs were pretty decent competition, and still can be if built right.
Basically, think of it like the pre-cursor to the evo.

Yah his Eclipse definately impressed me. He prolly is around 350 whp or so with the nitrous. Definately not a slow car though I didn't expect that much from it but FWD from a roll with power is good. From a dig it would be embarrasing from him but it was overall a damn good race. Now I need some nitrous
DSM's can definately be fast I have a 1990 Eagle Talon TSI AWD with a few mods and on the street it's a beast. They can definately make good power for relatively cheap but they aren't reliable at all. I don't know anyone with a DSM that makes good power that hasn't had assloads of problems with it.
