sc 96 gt vs 99 gt A buddy at work has a 96 gt with an 03 cobra shortblock and an s-trim at about 8lbs making 350rwhp. He wanted to run after work last night to see how we stacked up with me off the gas, I'm making alittle over 325, though his car weighs alittle less than mine.
Since I can kill him from a dig, we went from second the first run with me beating him by a couple of cars. The second run from third I had a car on him but at around 110mph he started to inch up on me. I ended up with him at my door at 120.
I think the reason my car holds it own with less hp is due to my car peaks at 4800 and doesn't drop off until around 62, plus I car take my car higher in the rpms than he can.

I asked him a minute ago and he said he only hits a peak of 6lbs. Also its a non pi motor with stock heads and cams. He has a pulley that will give him 12-14lbs but just hasn't gotten around to installing it.
