Default Cobra had a little umph ...

Going through town, I slightly rev at a silver SVT Cobra ... '03-04. I've beat sevral of them in town recently, however, this one was different. When I rev'd at him he immediatley did a U-turn and came after my ***. I screwed myself because:

1. had the wife in the car who weighs about 160.
2. car running pigrich because I took the entire Borla CATback off the day before to sell it to swap for true duals.
3. I didn't really get into the throttle until he did first (A4 from a roll).

We got outside of town and we finally got on it hard at about a 20 mph roll. I knew I should not attempt a SVT Cobra from a roll in my A4. Anyway, the guy was barely pulling on me up to about 60. Then, he started pulling harder and I let off (wife in the car ... didn't want to be dangerous). I just couldn't help but race the guy ... just wish I had been alone and from a standing start. Oh well, live and learn. I gave the guy a nice thumbs-up and he returned the same.

Hey Doc,

Was that you I saw at the Mall near Lake Mary about a month ago? I talked to a guy with a black lowered GTO. Showed him what's under my hood. Nice ride whether it was you or not.

12-bolt goes in this week and I'm taking some additional weight off the car to even things up some. MT ET street drag radials are going back on the car again. Dawg-gone Cobra making me buy tires again ... LOL!!!!

Man, if you get drag radials for the track, you'll trap real good and get a great time, as well. Good luck if you decide to go that route.

I could kick my own *** for racing him under those conditions. I beat myself ... dangit! It was one of the stronger Cobra's I've seen, though.
