Aright, I was out crusing at night with my dads 1970 Dodge Challenger witch is set up for pure stock raceing and it runs 12.40's at 110 on a good day. Any way back to the storie I am just cruising after the friday night football game and this camaro z-28 pulls up and starts reving it. So i role down the windo and talk to him and he wants to race and I just smile. I know that he is close to stock so I decide to race him. We line up and I baby the gas not to spin and he gets a good launch and gets half a car on me and then soon as I brought the petal to the floor I pased him like a rocket and must of had like 10 cars on him by 100 and I let off. Then as I was heading home a WS6 come's by and wants to race so we line up and I waste him just as bad as the z28 but this time I took off beter and he did not pull me off the line at all. The ws6 and z28 are fast but cant hang with the real muscle cars.

YA hers you'r pis im 16 years old. Looks like we got alot of silly fools on here that dont know what these cars can run in just a 1/4 mile. They are monsters 600 foot pounds of torque at just 2900 RPM. I dont hav pis of the race but a will swere to you that is was atleast 10 lenghts and we raced repeadly and the z28 was a 2002 and the ws6 was a 2000. The class I race in is pure stock!!!. thats means the car is 100% stock down to the tires and exhaust. Just imagine what would happen if i modded it. The question you people should be asking is why did I race a 80 grand car agenst a 10 grand car. Anyhow we got a total of 16 cars. Not all are set up for the pure stock drags tho. acatualy only 5. Challanger, cuda ,Superbee, GTO and a nother supperbee with a hemi.
If anybuddy lives in michigan I will race... Also the best time its ever ran was 11.87 at 121.23 but coulnt find the slip for the pic.

bs. if that challenger only traps 110 your not going to get pulled out of the hole then pass and put 10 cars on a new f body.

Wow - 10 cars is not quite as good as I'd expect with you hitting the gas and them hitting the brakes at the exact same time. Are you sure they maybe didn't just roll to a stop instead of hitting their brakes?

Exactly, this is a first post liar. lol, F-body's can't hang with real muscle cars... Im sorry, i guess an LS1 can't take on those old cars with 300hp and weigh as much as an F-350.

no kidding, my car trapped 109mph stock so any kind of mods to the fbody im going to guess that old mopar would not catch the ls1 cars on the big end.

Those old muscle cars werent near as fast as the owners recall. He obviously doesnt know anything about Ls1 cars or racing. He would not have made up such a far fetched story. If my dad had a nice 70 challenger I know he would not have let me drive it to high school.

Ummm. While I believe that a challenger could run a 12.40 if modded and setup properly I'd love to know what "Pure Stock" class you are in.


I love wasting people that think this way with my 3800# cam only/ bolt on car. Go race some mildly modded fbodies on the street and watch what happens.

my told me once he had a 71 chevell and it would pull the front wheels ever time he launch.so one day i was looking though old pic and see it it was a 307 with a power glide trans i dont think it would even spin the tires. lol sum i will call him out on it.
