Talking Police Cruisers!!!!???

OK this isn't really a story but i was just wondering if anyone knows just how much hp a normal crown vic cruiser is pushing?? any cops on here have an idea, always kinda wondered jsut what they had under the hood!! I say we find a cool cop and get him to let us dyno his cruiser????? I've met one cool cop in my whole life on the street. Its a guy my friend cruises with, and he said no to the dyno idea we tryed!(unfortunatly he drives a built 5.0 mustang....fast as **** too) besides the point we were out about a week ago and he called him while he was on duty an we met up with him and raced him in his cruiser just for fun.....no im not making this up i was as shoked as u....so my friend basically raped him but keep in mind this is a 650rwhp t/a with nitrous....which my friend used quiet diligently durng the race....but yea thought you guys would enjoy this. and if anyones got numbers on cop cruisers post em up cuz this guy didnt kno how much hp his cruiser had!

Just a regular old 2 valve 4.6. Nothing special and certainly nothing fast. Doesn't help cruisers weigh in at over 4000 pounds with all the gear. Off the top of my head I think a stock 2 valve puts around 250 to the wheels.

The 2001 crown vic ( my take home car ) has around 250- 260hp. The new 06 models have around 300- 310hp. This is engine hp not rwhp. there all

Remember, radio travels faster than you, and they do have some serious pursuit cars, like the five-oh stang mentioned above.

I wouldn't hope for that...

Even the faster (retired) Caprice pursuit vehicles can hardly break into the 14's stock (if that).
