Got beat by Wdpballer46 ('00 WS.6) Wdpballer: Flowmaster Muffler
Me: Full exhaust, 1.6RRs, 180 T-stat, Tune, LT4 KM, K&N filter & TB coolant bypass
We went on the highway and lined up. We both had about a full tank of gas. First, we did a 40mph roll in 2nd gear. We did three honks and I got a jump on him (he couldn't tell if I was on 1st or 2nd honk). So I got the jump, but I was so excited that I was racing an LS1, I missed 3rd... So we shut down. The second time we did a 60 mph roll in 3rd. This time he honked and we were off. I got a SLIGHT jump on him, but saw his nose creeping up over my shoulder. I hit 4th gear at around 95mph and jumped ahead a couple feet. Well, sure enough afterwards he crept right back up but kept pulling. He slowly got ahead and my nose was right at his back wheel. We were going roughly 125 mph and I slammed into 5th. Well, his redline is higher and just kept pulling in 4th and he had me beat. At around 130 he had me by about a car length. It was an AWESOME race and I couldn't believe how close it was! We're both equally good drivers too.
