Default bleeding brakes with a proportioning valve

just installed a sjm abs delete kit to a 97 firebird. when bleeding the brakes, i get a ton of fluid movement from the front, and next to nothing from the rears. there are no leaks in the system. do i have to set the valve a certain way to bleed them?
