Default Caliper upgrade for my 98 truck

I have a firebird but this is a question for my 98 1500 chevy truck. I want to upgrade from my 5 bolt 291mm discs to the 6 bolt 295mm discs. But i want to upgrade the calipers too, what could I use, can I use a LS1 caliper? Don't think I can use the CTS caliper on a rotor this small.

Im in the process of doing the something similar. I got the idea from kore3 website, I was going to use thier hub and switch my truck over to the light duty spindles 88-91 short cab/bed. The kore3 hubs should fit that spindle. But I chenged direction and decided to machine down my factory rotors until there hubs. Im waiting for my rotors right now, I might try to get the rotor to fit on the back of the hub and use screw in arp lugs to attach the hub. Well see if I have the clearance. The reason I want to put them on the back is so I can get more clearence for the caliper. Dont know if your still trying to do this but I am
