Unhappy Front Shocks Help please 2000 Z28

2000 Z28 Camaro: Every time I hit a bump in the road I hear a thunk. I think it is my front shocks. Does anyone have step by step instuctions how to change them? What shocks should I replace them with? The car has been lower 1 inch.

if you're lowered don't just go with a stock replacement. go with a koni, slp bilstein, KYB, or Tokico shock. i would recommend the slp bilsteins if you're on a budget or koni's if you want the best available. what kind of springs do you have?

also make sure it's a shock that's bad before you go replacing things

I would look at ball joints, sway bar bushings, and lower controls arm bushing while I was down there.

I can not find anyhting that looks worn or lose. It has Koni shocks now. I might have to bring it to a garage and see if they can figure what the noise is coming from. Thanks for the instructions and info.
