Default Note For Front Spring Install.

Everyone who does a front spring/shock swap should be aware of this.

When you put the strut mount back on to thread the nut at the top of the shaft, please make sure the mount is ALL THE WAY down onto the top of the shaft before securing the nut.

If you leave a gap there will be a very anoying banging/popping sound when the suspension unloads or goes over jarring bumps.

It also seems to help sliding the assembly out if you jack the car up from the front/under the frame instead of on both sides.

I don't have any advice for compressing the springs. I would recommend air tools, but I've heard it's a bad idea, so I guess you've just got to muscle up and get it done.

Yeah I rented the compressors from autozone. You have to fight with them basically. I made sure the springs were fully compressed so that the upper mount could fit flush. It's not good to compress the springs by tightening the shock shaft nut at the upper mount.
