Default Are control arm brackets necessary when lowering?

I am considering lowering my 99 Z28 with Eibach Pro-kit springs. I am probably going to stick with the stock shocks for awhile. My question is do I really need to get control arm relocation brackets? Any input would be helpful as I am new to suspension modding.

I agree. When I installed my Hypercoils I had no wheel hop at all after. I'm doing shocks and LCAs this spring so I got the relocation brackets for the hell of it. Hopefully they make a differance like people say.

You don't need them just because you lower it but they will help with traction by putting your pinion angle back to a neg. angle instead of a pos. angle.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll probably get the brackets later, as I can most likely get my springs for a very good price right now.
